Chance Meetings II

I have posted previously about the interesting blogs you can find by hitting the "Next Blog>>" button. Here are some more.

~Dreams is written by a Malaysian girl studying in Perth. I like this blog because of its design and the pictures taken during dissection classes.

Jeep trips from Coast to Costa follows a road trip of an American couple from Miami to Costa Rica. They just picked up and went! Wouldn't we all like to do that...

In Photography by Nuya, take your own round the world trip through the pictures of Nuya, who travels to all sorts of places and posts great-quality photos on this blog.

Wishes & Heros interests me because although it is in another language, the author posts photographs of some amazing crafts (teddies, cushions and so on) she has completed. You don't see crafts of this quality every day.

More coming soon!

Chance Meetings: Journeys in Random Blog Land

I believe the next blog>> button that takes you to a random blog is one of the best little buttons ever invented. Hours of your spare time can be pleasantly filled by perusing a variety of blogs from all over the world.

The trouble is, the haphazard world of random blogs has been invaded by distasteful, flag-worthy blogs which occasionally rear their ugly head, as well as the all-too-common single-post ad-filled junk blogs designed to make money from AdSense.

Therefore, I have decided to do you all a favour, and list some good quality blogs I've come across during my erratic wanderings in the wilderness known as Random Blog Land. Now you don't have to sift through the junk for yourself!

A Passion for Photography by Tony Thompson is, as you might have guessed, a photographer's blog. Have a look through his archives; there are some real gems in there.

The author of Tokyo Girl Down Under, although very anonymous, writes about everyday events in a nicely-flowing story format. Each post has clearly been given a great deal of thought.

In New Hythe Wildlife Blog, Steve Nunn posts photos of wildlife within a mile of his home. His pictures are just beautiful; this blog will not disappoint.

And in Strangers Among Us, Bullwinky, mountainbikehound, JamesF, Matt and Scott take photos of people they see in the places they go. It's a great concept, and the photos aren't too bad either.

I realised that three of these four are photography blogs; so perhaps my randomness isn't so random after all. Don't worry though, there's more to come!

Blog review: What's in a Name?

What's in a name? happens to be written by one of my good friends, Steff. On April Fool's Day, Steff tricked us all into thinking she was closing her blog down, much to my horror, because she's a really skilled writer and I enjoy reading her blog. Of course, her great blogging continues, so if you're into children's work, languages, or education, then you'll like What's in a name?.

May I recommend to you her most recent post: 'What makes a good partner?'. It contains some gems of wisdom on relationships, based on the highly successful children's film, Toy Story.
